Redistricting authority:  
U.S. Congressional Districts – Legislative.  The Legislature has statutory authority from the S.C. Constitution to redistrict the state into congressional districts and legislative districts. Committees in the House and Senate draw plans and the Legislature votes on them. The Governor has veto power over the congressional plans, as well as the legislative plans.
